Input Monitoring

Why BruhBoard asks for Input Monitoring.

BruhBoard needs Input Monitoring so keyboard sounds and the emergency mute shortcut can work while the app sits in your menu bar.

Used for

Playing local sounds from keyDown signals and recognizing Option + Command + M for emergency mute.

Not used for

Reading what you type, saving key data, tracking apps or windows, or sending typing activity anywhere.

Privacy boundary

BruhBoard does not read, store, log, or transmit what you type. Normal sound playback uses only keyDown occurrence signals.

The emergency mute shortcut briefly checks the key event needed to detect Option + Command + M, but this shortcut data is not saved, logged, displayed, analyzed, or transmitted.
