BruhBoard-1.0-mac.dmg from the BruhBoard download button.BruhBoard.app to Applications.macOS Input Monitoring permission is required for keyboard-triggered sounds because BruhBoard reacts to key presses outside its own window.
Allow BruhBoard in System Settings, then restart the app if the permission change does not apply immediately.
BruhBoard does not save, log, transmit, or analyze what you type, typed characters, key history, focused app names, focused window titles, or emergency mute shortcut detection data.
BruhBoard license keys are managed through Polar License Keys.
Paste your license key into the license field in BruhBoard. After activation, the app will show License Active.
An active license is required before Enable keyboard trigger can be used for key press sounds.
If you replace a Mac, use Deactivate this Mac in the app to free up an activation.
If you no longer have access to the old Mac, or if activation does not work, contact support with the error message shown in the app.
Test Sound previews the selected sound and works even when Input Monitoring has not been allowed yet.
If Test Sound works, sound output, volume, and mute settings are probably working.
If Test Sound works but key press sounds do not, check that your license is active, keyboard sounds are enabled, Mute is off, Input Monitoring is allowed, and the app has been restarted after the permission change.
Polar issues your license key automatically after checkout. If it is not available, contact support with your checkout email, payment date, and transaction reference if available.
Check that the full license key was pasted without missing characters. If activation still does not work, contact support with the error message shown in the app.
Make sure your license is active, sounds are enabled, Mute is off, and macOS Input Monitoring permission has been allowed for the app.
macOS requires Input Monitoring for apps that react to keyboard input outside their own window. BruhBoard uses it for local sound playback and the emergency mute shortcut, not typing analytics.
